I watched the Jubilee on TV – in the dry! I LOVED the appearance of the war horse on the NT balcony. Brilliant! I had also seen the film and it really was Spielberg at his best.
I also admired and loved the choir on top of the boat belting out Land of Hope and Glory in an arctic rain storm. Love it or loath it you have to admire the gutsy eccentricity. I loved it.

I also watched it from indoors. No street parties for me because I’m social phobic but I can honestly say it made me proud to be British. Despite the weather, everything looked spectacular. I loved every minute of it. I’ve just watched the concert tonight and also loved every minute of that to, especially Madness! It’s nice to have a few days of nothing but pure positiveness and celebrations for a wonderful lady we can proudly call our Queen.
Jubilee? Whose jubilee? Was it outside?
At what costs* ?
————-
* Numerous costs are involved:
Not simply the four days lost to the Economy at £2 billion per day;
but the one-way-down-the-drain costs of all the Extravaganzas.
————
And there are still ongoing the deliberately,
even malfeasantly, disinformationally, and iatrogenicly,
hidden suppressive costs
of substituting,
for both a Sustainworthy Human Lifestyle model for every individual UK-resident
and a Lifespan Participative & Democratic Self-Governance Citizenship-Progress service for every level of UK Neighbourhood and Community,
a strictly luxuriously-private and super-protected, but forever ongoingly un-emulable,
“Monarchic ‘Leader’”.

I watched some of the Pomp and Ceremony, sound-muted, my task being to visually discern Personal Aggrandisements from Relevantly-Real Longer-Term Histories, particularly of the British, Commonwealth, and World’s various Peoples, and of civilizational infrastructures.
Despite the unrelentingly aggressive sequence of deliberately insinuated Altered-States-Of-Consciousness, being radiated five-dimensionally upon all and sundry,
there still seemed to be a truly-believable amount of both People-History and Civilised-Environment History,
I thought.
————–
Nevertheless, still the main benefit I derived from those Jubilee days,
and which alone I feel is carrying me forward,
came not from the Jubilee nor Public Pageantry nor the richly coloured TV screen;
but from donning headphones plugged into “Guided Mindfulness Meditations”
by one Jon Kabat Zinn;
and I now find myself praying for a true Defender,
but of either ‘My One Human Faith’ or ‘of All Faiths’
(if there can ever be either).

With participants from many nations within and without the Commonwealth, when does eccentricity become the norm?
The Big Society, writ large.
Loathed it. Fortunately ever faithful radio 3
really did little to report it, so it went by more or less unnoticed.
The Duke seems to have developed a fine way of avoiding festivities; I hope it is nothing more than that.His mother lived until 104.
