Another first for the House of Lords!

The Lords have become much more representative of British society than the Commons in recent years. Baroness Amos was the first black woman to become leader of the House – even before Barak Obama had grabbed the headlines!
The issue about the expenses claims that see Lord Paul attracting British Police and Parliamentary investigation will be interesting to follow. I have just blogged on the issue at:
