I am conscious I have not had time to post a quiz recently. I thought I would catch up with one that focuses on individual members. As usual, the first two readers to supply the correct answers will be the winners. All the questions relate to current members of the House of Lords.
1. I am a rabbi but I have never been Chief Rabbi. Who am I?
2. I am a Baroness and a leading QC. I serve on the Joint Committee on Human Rights. Who am I?
3. As I record in my autobiography, I was born in 1934 in Ashton, Northamptonshire, and then moved to Roade, living in slum conditions. ‘Beside the kitchen back door was the lavatory. To flush it required a bowl of water carried from the tap.’ Who am I?
4. I have served as a Lecturer in Urology at Ghana Medical School as well as President of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Who am I?
5. I have served as a director of a alcohol recovery programme as well as Chief Executive of the youth social exclusion charity, Centre Point. Who am I?

And then today we have Lord Greaves making the following statement.
“””
In passing I would note and guess that if the allegations as made are a matter for resignation, perhaps around a half of the male members of the Lords over the age of 50 would probably not be seen again”
“””
So are we going to have to guess the names of the 50% male members (fnarr fnarr) in the House of Pervs?
50% male members (fnarr fnarr) in the House of Pervs?
But if the smear campaign suddenly stopped as
soon as the lib dem victory at the local elections were achieved, would you not say that
Lord Rennard (libdem) served some pretty good backhanders at a game of tennis, and that Vince’s publicity machine has been on the go again!?
Congratulations to Jonathan and JH who got in first with a correct set of answers, ahrad of Rich. Hard luck to GaretHugHowell, who lost out on the first question – Baroness Neuberger is the rabbi in the House who has not held the post of Chief Rabbi, thus distinguishing her from Lord Sachs. I was impressed that everyone got question 3 correct: I thought that may prove difficult. Lord Donoughue’s book, ‘In the Heat of the Kitchen’, is a good read.
Merci Noble Pair du royaume pour la mention honorable!
What do the winners win?
