The weekly quiz – all-party groups

Lord Norton

There are many all-party groups in Parliament.  They draw on members from different parties, hence the name, as well as members from both Houses.  Some, such as the all-party group on breast cancer, are especially active.   Peers chair a good many groups.   This week’s quiz focuses on all-party groups chaired by peers.  As usual, the first two readers to supply the correct answers will be the winners.

1. I have served as a professor of palliative medicine and chair an all-party group related to dying.  Who am I and what is the group?

2. I am a former Lord Spiritual and chair an all-party group designed to bring faiths together.  Who am I and what is the group?

3.  I chair the all-party group on drug abuse.  Who am I?

4. I have served as President of the British Medical Association and chair the all-party group on Huntington’s Disease.  Who am I?

This will be he last quiz of 2010.  I presume readers wiil be busy with other activities over the festive season.  I know I will be.  One senior MP asked me what I was doing for Christmas and was a little surprised when I said that Christmas was a season for marking!   A merry Christmas to all our readers.

I wish I had your work ethic, Lord Norton! I can only really spend time on things I enjoy/find interesting… but perhaps you do enjoy marking(!)

A merry Christmas to you, your Peers, and my fellow commenters.

Chris K: Many thanks. Merry Christmas to you and all our readers.
