The Joint Committee on the draft House of Lords Reform Bill at its first meeting agreed the text for its call for evidence and that has now been published. You can find details here. There is also a link to the White Paper and the draft Bill. Submissions are invited on all aspects of the Bill and should ideally be submitted by 12 October.
1. I see no initial summary of the Objects;
(only the subsidiary intentions
#1 being “How the Draft Bill fulfils its objects”).
2. I see no intention to increase the up-to-date-ness, range, and depth of either House’s knowledge, know-how, expertises, and hands-on -experience and ‘success’ in Workplaces and Lifeplaces (a Workplace being where one gives one’s appropriately skilled ‘work’ during a standard 25% timeframe (40 hours per week) to an Employer in return for a monetary payment of a single human-living, intended as the worker’s lifesupport for the 75% timeframe of the Lifeplace wherein the individual spends that monetary-income ‘living’).
3. Neither do I see any primary requirement for the new 80% election, nor for the new 20% appointment, to include such Expertise (successful long-term performances in both Workplace and Lifeplace, and thereby essential, appropriate, and up-to-date knowledge and know=how) as a pre-requisite eligibility for every candidate.
4. Nor do I find any support, in my lone poverty-level lifestyle which limits my available personal-energy, time, money, and workstation facilities, and thus my democratic-participation, to this Lords of the Blog e-site, which remains the only possibly-democratic channel I can find through which my contributions and submissions appear to be both seriously read and governancially-considered.

I am rather concerned that things I may say about the Republic, will be considered seditious. I am not a member of the house of Lords to say things with privilege, or of any other chamber.
I am anti establishment, certainly, ans favour 100% democratization.

I am slightly concerned that remarks I may make may be construed as seditious, but making them to their noble Lordships I don’t suppose there is any real risk of “insurrection”.
I trust that remarks about republics and 100% democratization are not out of order?
Considering The Republic has, after all, a long and honorable literary history.
I think that GH’s “extreme fear”, of being held “seditious”, is actually a wise extreme to be brought into this Issue, of “In a 100% democracy, 100% people-initiated-participation has to be strengthened”:

Look at certain Altered States of Mind entrenched in the British People by the spectacular extremism of the Pomp and Ceremony (and yes, Lord Blagger, the extreme and wasteful Expense) displayed frequently by The State, especially by the Day of the Queen’s Speech to Parliament in the red-seated and aggressively-gaudy-robed House of Lords Chamber.
Look also at the lesser but nonetheless clear extremism, in a struggling and apathised people-participative-democracy, of Lord Norton’s House of Lords Centred Weekly Quiz.
I see it as being selfishly confined to the ‘Inside’ and effectively-esoteric vested interests of the House of Lords Peerage,
to the exclusion and consequent demeanment and de-facto de-democratisation of The People.
Surely also, even such random and ‘off the cuff’, and possibly un-edited, posts such as this particular little would-be-seriously-democratic one,
should “automatically” be collected as “evidence”
and also be afforded some “no-fault citizen’s democratic privilege”, similar to Parliamentary-privilege, protecting the author from hostile legal proceedings ?
