Dear Lord Norton,
Peer Two is Baroness Hooper.
Howridiculous.
1) Lord Bhattacharyya?
2) Baroness Hooper.
Congratulations to everyone – there were no incorrect answers, altohugh only Steph provided both correct answers without any question marks. As she was also the first to respond, she wins this week’s prize.
Altohugh should read ‘although’!
Lord Bhattacharya is a Labour peer and professor of manufacturing at Warwick University. He entered the House in 2004. Baroness Hooper sits on the Conservative benches. She was MEP for Liverpool (1979-84) and joined the House in 1985. She served as a whip and then a junior minister from 1986 to 1992. She is one of the Deputy Speakers.
For the avoidance of doubt, it is Lord Bhattacharyya. I was convinced I had typed the second ‘y’! But I am not one to blame the tools…
