I've done a couple of initial comments about the running/layout of the site at http://www.bickerstafferecord.org.uk/?p=259#comment-14194, as a result of a initial post of my own to which Virginia was good enough to respond.

I'll commment more on the content when I've digested it a bit more, though my first feel is a bit 'so what?' about some of the posts, but then of course that's the same with all blogs.

Thanks Senex, that's a really good suggestion for us to think about as the blog grows. It would be nice to have 50 bloggers and we certainly aim to recruit new members during the next session.

Have you thought of making the blog part of a 'newspaper' style activity where each lord has their own blog for articles they write. The paper would have headlines, features etc.

I say this because of the Norton push down effect. Sometimes the effect is so great that others are pushed beyond the last page boundary very quickly giving no time for others to read the post.

If we had 50 peers blogging some might become grumpy at the prospect of ending up in the bit bucket too often. Its a male thing!
